The Silver Center was founded in 1994 by a group of dedicated seniors. It is self-supporting and maintains a 50 year old building that serves as a place for members, friends and the community to congregate, visit, volunteer, play games, quilt, take art lessons, practice Tai Chi, dance and more! It's a place where older people can participate in activities and remain vitally integrated in the community!
In addition to the events listed on our website, the Center maintains a lending closet where people can borrow medical equipment. The Guadalupe County Veteran's Clinic is located on the premises. Weekly blood pressure checks are available to the public. The entire community benefits from the use of our facility for service club meetings and fundraisers. In addition, the Center is a lovely place for weddings, anniversaries, parties and other celebrations!
